About this lesson
A qualifying corporate bond is a normal commercial loan in sterling that cannot be converted into other currencies or shares and was acquired after 13 March 1984. If these conditions are met, any disposal is exempt from capital gains tax; if not, it's chargeable. Master this straightforward rule and you'll handle QCB questions confidently in your ATX or TX papers.
