June and September 2027 sessions

ACCA has not yet published the dates for June and September 2027. They will follow the same pattern: a five-day exam week in early June and early September, with standard entry closing several weeks before. We will add the exact dates here once they appear on ACCA's important dates page. ACCA has also said the ACCA Qualification is changing from 2027, so check its site for anything that affects the exams you plan to sit.

ACCA's dates page lists three dates per session: entry opening, the standard deadline and the late deadline. There is no separate early entry deadline for these sessions.

December 2026 timetable by day

Each session exam sits on a fixed day of the exam week. For the December 2026 session, ACCA's centre-based timetable puts the main ACCA Qualification exams on these days:

  • Monday 7 December: Audit and Assurance (AA), Advanced Audit and Assurance (AAA)
  • Tuesday 8 December: Taxation (TX), Strategic Business Leader (SBL)
  • Wednesday 9 December: Performance Management (PM), Advanced Performance Management (APM), Advanced Taxation (ATX)
  • Thursday 10 December: Financial Reporting (FR), Strategic Business Reporting (SBR)
  • Friday 11 December: Financial Management (FM), Advanced Financial Management (AFM), Corporate and Business Law (session-based versions)

Start times are local, so they are not on the main timetable. You will find yours in the exam planner in myACCA and on your exam docket. Remote session exams can fall on different days from the centre timetable, so always check your own planner. ACCA says any changes to the timetable are announced at least six months ahead.

How ACCA exam sessions work

There are two kinds of ACCA exam, and they are booked differently.

  • Session exams cover the Applied Skills exams (apart from the UK and global versions of Corporate and Business Law) and all Strategic Professional exams. You can only sit them in one of the four sessions, and you enter through myACCA before the deadline.
  • On-demand exams cover the Applied Knowledge exams and the UK and global versions of Corporate and Business Law. You can sit them at any time of year.

March and September are smaller sessions. ACCA notes that only limited variants of the Applied Skills and Strategic Professional exams run in March and September, while every variant runs in June and December. If you sit a country-specific version of an exam, check it is offered before you plan a March or September sitting.

For the full list of exams at each level, see our list of ACCA exams .

On-demand Applied Knowledge exams

Business and Technology (BT), Management Accounting (MA) and Financial Accounting (FA) are on-demand computer-based exams. So are the UK (LW-ENG) and global (LW-GLO) versions of Corporate and Business Law.

  • When: any time of year. There are no session dates or entry deadlines to meet.
  • How to book: directly with an ACCA exam centre, not through the session entry process. ACCA's "Find an on-demand centre" page lists centres near you.
  • Results: shown on screen at the end of the exam. This result is provisional, and the confirmed result reaches your ACCA account within 72 hours.
  • Resits: you can resit an on-demand exam at any time, and ACCA sets no limit on the number of attempts.
  • Remote option: remote on-demand exams are only allowed in countries with no exam centre provision.

Our Applied Knowledge exams guide covers what is in each one.

Booking, changing and late entry

You book session exams in myACCA. Enter during the standard entry period: ACCA's lowest exam fees apply then, and late entry costs more.

Up to the standard entry deadline you can change an existing entry, cancel it or switch to a remote exam where that is allowed, with no extra charge. After the standard deadline you cannot cancel or transfer an entry, and the fee is not refundable. Late entry is a short extra window for students who missed the standard deadline. For the September 2026, December 2026 and March 2027 sessions it closes one week after standard entry.

Exam dockets

Your exam attendance docket confirms which exams you are entered for and where and when you sit them. It is available to download from myACCA about two weeks after standard entry closes. Take it to a centre-based exam. The docket no longer includes a photograph. For remote session exams you do not need to print it, but read the rules it sets out. Our ACCA exam day checklist covers what else to take.

Fees

ACCA charges an annual subscription, due by 1 January each year, plus an exam fee for each exam you enter, at the standard or late rate. Check the current figures on ACCA's price list or in myACCA when you book. Our ACCA exam fees guide breaks down the costs.

Choosing your session

  • Work back from the deadline, not the exam week. Standard entry closes four to six weeks before each session, and changes after that are not possible.
  • Clear the Applied Knowledge exams early. They are on demand, so you can sit them as soon as you are ready and move on.
  • Pair exams with care. See our guide to the best order for ACCA exams and look at ACCA pass rates before deciding how many to sit together.
  • Allow time for results. Session results arrive about five to six weeks after the exam week, so if you plan a resit in the next session, its entry window will already be open.
